Lead sales across a high growth business unit within a large listed company. Company This ASX listed food and ingredients manufacturer is experiencing major growth and diversification across their portfolio as they look to adapt to market opportunities. With a change in their go to market strategy and the focus on acquisition they are looking to expand their SKU range and customer base. This is a newly created role across a $1b business. Key Responsibilities: Lead a diverse team across all domestic sales this includes, B2B, retail, rural and equine. Develop strategic plans in line with business objectives and partner with key stakeholders to drive growth across the portfolio. Drive revenue growth and improve sales margins through improved relationships and a focus on the retail and equine opportunities. Build strong relationships based on trust and transparency taking a win/win approach with a long-term plan and set agendas. Developing business cases and manage and execute major tenders across all customers within each market. Manage all financial responsibilities including reporting, budgets and major projects. Lead and develop the team to exceed current performance and drive the drive the aggressive growth plans of the business. Develop strategic growth activities to drive business performance and to meet profitability targets. Capitalise on significant new market opportunities and ensuring the realistic profit and growth objectives are met. Identify training needs of direct reports through the Performance Review process working closely with HR and the relevant internal / external Training providers. Background & Experience Required: Ideally have experience in a senior sales leadership role across the Agri/food space across the fresh and/or perishables space would be desirable. The successful applicant will have worked at an executive sales leadership level within a fast-paced environment that is action and results focused. Have an ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategic plans both short and long term. Senior leadership background, able to think strategically and deliver through people and process to meet and exceed revenue targets within an agile ever-changing environment. They must be prepared to roll their sleeves up and be hands on when required. Need to have extensive experience in retail/b2b sales and has been involved in driving an aggressive growth agenda. Commercially astute, they must be able to understand financial reports, manage a budget and make commercial decisions. Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including senior executive level employees as well as line management and operators. Strong presence and professional in their presentation. Able to gain attention quickly and be recognised as a strong leader in the business.
