Switchboard Production Control Technician / Electrical Design Technician Bayswater Victoria location. We are seeking the services of a suitably qualified PRODUCTION LEAD of Electrical Switchboards. Candidate must have had minimum 3 yrs experience in Switchboard design, and all aspects of Industrial Electrical Switchboards Manufacturing. This role is offered as a full-time position. Role responsibilities Role requires conversion of concept Consultant Switchboard requirements to Electrical CAD submissions files ready to issue for fabrication. Integration of Electrical Equipment, Support System and Busbars in the Design Support the Business Directors in managing all aspects of SCA manufacture including Tender evaluation, Design, Estimation, Sourcing of parts. Material list preparation from Electrical drawings. Manufacturing including workshop management, inventories, Testing, preparation of supporting documents such as Dosier, Customer liaison, warranties Fully conversant with OHS aspects of Manufacturing business Has worked in and ISO9001 environment of Quality assurance implementation Examining and testing production machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults · Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining production machines, equipment and instruments Conversant with testing of Instrumentation and Switchgear from various Suppliers, specifications and usage. Conversant with Installation and testing requirements of Switchgear and associated wiring in Switchboards. Conversant with VIC SIR requirements of SCA. · Conversant with documents required to be submitted with SCA for QA and Customer expectation of SCA. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Preferable Degree / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (desirable) Trade qualifications with extensive experience (acceptable) · 3D CAD Design Experience Performing computations of appropriate ratings for circuit breakers, wires and other equipment to implement the design requirements of switchboard distribution panels etc. · Knowledge of ASNZS 61439, ASNZS 3000, ASNZS 60529 · Attention to Detail · Good Communication Skills · The ability to work with minimal supervision. · Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. · Ability to interpret plans and standards · Accurate record keeping · Performing computations of appropriate ratings for circuit breakers, wires and other equipment to impelemnt the design requirements of switchboard distribution panels etc. · Configuration of switchboards for regulation of power control, chillers and refrigeration units as well as other electrical operations for industrial consumers The successful applicant will need to be reliable, self-starter with excellent work ethics & have a good level of physical fitness.
