Mills Recruitment is seeking experienced Cost Engineers for Perth-based roles with our client, a leading global EPCM. Initially six-month contracts, with strong possibility to extend, these roles will support a flagship WA infrastructure project. Job Summary: This role involves supporting cost estimating, analysis, and control functions on major projects. Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of cost monitoring systems, preparing cost data for reporting, and supporting the project trend program. The role also involves budget allocation support, quantity takeoffs, coding structures, and unit rate development—all to ensure effective budget adherence and financial oversight. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine cost estimating, cost analysis, and control activities as directed Support the implementation of cost monitoring standards, reporting systems, and control techniques Assist in budget allocation and cost tracking for specific construction disciplines or work packages Support the preparation of cost data during proposal or contract stages Help develop quantity takeoffs and discipline-specific cost estimates Assist in creating and maintaining project coding structures and recommend adjustments as required Contribute to the administration of the project trend program Assist in calculating and applying cost and labor unit rates to quantity-based estimates Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 6–9 years of relevant work experience without a degree Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience in the development and construction phases of major civil and building infrastructure projects Familiarity with the Australian construction and engineering market Specific experience on aviation or transportation-related infrastructure projects is beneficial Apply today, or for more information contact Kevin Griffin on 0474 540 949 or [email protected]
