Contract Administrator — Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland

Contract Administrator Job, Commercial Construction, Flood repairs on Buildings, Sunshine Coast Your new company Our client, a reputable builder on the Sunshine Coast, has a good opportunity for a proven Contract Administrator to join their team, following the award of a new project; from their Sunshine Coast office you will deliver a remote QLD Govt project associated with flood repairs. The project itself is in a beautiful location, popular amongst families doing the lap around Australia, and would be very interesting to visit. Your new role You will support the Senior Project Manager with procuring trades, materials and scheduling works. You will also process variations, progress claims, purchase orders and ensure the project is running smoothly and efficiently on time and to budget. There will be scope to visit the site when possible, although this role is based on the Sunshine Coast. The scope of works will relate to building refurbishments, with new service reticulations and a new waste treatment system. You will also be exposed to other government projects they work on, along with their own unit developments. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you must have experience as a Contract Administrator working on Commercial Construction Projects for the principal contractor. Experience with Remote and/or Govt projects or Unit developments would be advantageous, (but not essential), while a strong work ethic and can-do attitude are essential. Either a trade qualification and/or a tertiary qualification, such as a Degree in Construction Management or Cert IV in Building and Construction would be well regarded. Only applicants with Australian experience will be considered, while a connection to the Sunshine Coast is preferred. What you'll get in return Salary will be commensurate with experience, while a range between $110k to $120k base is a good indicator, possibly up to $130k base (or maybe more) for the right candidate. One of the main attractive factors for this role will be the flexibility and work / life balance they provide. There is also the choice to make this role part-time, 4 days a week if you prefer.
