Apprentice - Electrician — The Rocks, Sydney

About the role With a fleet of over 40 vessels Transdev Sydney Ferries aims to provide on time running and outstanding service reliability and we can’t do this without our people to ride along with us in this journey. So, we need you to join our Asset Maintenance team at our Balmain Shipyard where you will experience a supportive and collaborative work environment. In this journey to obtaining your electrical licence you will be committed to completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology , attending work and hours for study. With a course due to start in mid-July 2025. Some of the duties of an apprentice Electrician would include: · Capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary team and work within time constraints. · Good oral and written communication skills. · Prepared to undertake approved training. · Demonstrate a genuine interest in an apprenticeship in a marine environment. · A strong desire to learn and develop a range of new skills associated with your chosen trade. · A strong motivation to achieve individual and team goals and objectives by actively contributing to attain results. · A commitment to Work, Health and Safety. · Ability to work well in a team environment. About you This role suits someone with a genuine interest in the electrical trade and have high mechanical aptitude, a problem solver, inquisitive and a strong commitment to learning and attending trade course requirements.
