This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless and accessible user experience across digital platforms, aligning with the organisation’s commitment to supporting Australian society. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop wireframes and prototypes, translating complex concepts into intuitive user interfaces. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather user requirements and validate design solutions. Lead co-design workshops to capture diverse perspectives and iterate on design concepts. Apply accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and UX best practices to maintain consistent user experiences. Contribute to and advocate for the Design System, ensuring scalability and adherence to accessibility guidelines. Document interaction models, visual principles, and component usage to streamline project handovers. Facilitate usability testing and gather actionable feedback from staff, providers, and participants. Produce comprehensive project deliverables in line with agreed timelines and objectives. Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience in capturing and validating UI/UX requirements through workshops, prototyping, or interviews. Advanced knowledge of contemporary UI/UX methodologies and accessibility standards. Proven ability to communicate design concepts clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders. 3–5 years of professional experience in a similar UX/UI design role. Desirable Criteria: Experience in designing with a strong focus on accessibility. A forward-thinking approach to integrating accessible design principles.
