Mechanical Engineer — Leppington, Camden Area

About Us: Aussie Lift & Shift, based in Leppington, NSW is dedicated to providing top tier hoisting and material movement solutions across Australia. They specialize in offering engineered systems tailored to the needs of their construction site, ensuring both personnel and materials are moved safely and efficiently. Currently there is a vacancy for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer. This is a full-time position. Eligibility Requirements: • Bachelor or higher qualification or 5 years’ experience in same field • 2-3 years of experience in similar role • Should have full-time working rights in Australia Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure you always work safely and do not put yourself or others in danger – always observe correct Safety factors and Australian Standards. 2. You will be required to design machinery and equipment and must do so by always observing the Local Safety rules in force. 3. You will be required to assist and recommend maintenance schedules for the machinery & equipment, so as, our customer are always kept safe. 4. Report promptly to the required work sites if on-site design is required. 5. Always report to the manager (Craig) prior to starting work, in case the work instructions change. 6. Ensure you have a copy of all machine manual or the relevant information for the task that you are working on. 7. Ensure you always have critical tools and instructions for performing the task you have been allocated, IF YOU DON NOT KNOW OR UNSURE, STOP! AND CHECK with manager (Craig) before proceeding. 8. Practise clear English communication between your fellow workers, as you are required to communicate clearly in English with your manager. 9. When there is a shortage of work you may be allocated un-related engineering duties for a period of time. 10. Ensure the products you have designed/maintained/manufactured/worked on are well built and reliable, if you are concerned about the strength, suitability, or the end result you must inform your manager. 11. Keep your designs and CAD drawings on the server so as they are accessible by other staff members. 12. Assist other employees on unusual jobs, during busy periods & as necessary when work shortage. 13. Wear the allocated uniform at all times and be neat and respectable. 14. Ensure your machine knowledge is kept up to date, and request training if you do not understand any of the company’s assets. 15. You should make suggestions each week on improvements you managers can make to help you achieve the Engineering responsibilities set above. Salary - $73,150 - $77,000 plus super Only eligible and shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
