Mills Recruitment is seeking an experienced Switchboard Designer/Drafter to join our client in Perth. The Role: Based in their manufacturing facility in Henderson you will take on complex design assignments, focusing on switchboards and incorporating technical specifications and relevant standards. Strong investigative and research skills will be essential to your success. As the Senior Switchboard Designer will oversee the development of low and medium voltage switchboard and control systems. This key role involves managing a team of designers and technicians, working closely with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring all designs are high-quality, compliant, and delivered on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of switchboard designers and technicians. Interpret client requirements and develop custom switchboard design solutions. Create and review detailed layouts and schematics using CAD software. Oversee project timelines, quality checks, and documentation processes. Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and client teams. Stay current with industry standards, innovations, and best practices. Abou you: Degree or trade qualification in electrical engineering or switchboard design. Minimum 5 years’ experience in switchboard design to AS/NZ standards. Strong AutoCAD skills; SolidWorks or Inventor experience desirable. Proven leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
