The role: Join our maintenance team as a Maintenance Electrician at Tassal's Lidcombe processing facility in New South Wales, where you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you'll work alongside a skilled team performing preventative and scheduled maintenance to the highest standard, minimising downtime and boosting productivity across our seafood processing facility. This full-time, hands-on role is perfect for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair electrical equipment, components, and systems to ensure minimal disruption. Apply mechanical expertise to assist trades teams in both breakdown response and scheduled maintenance, ensuring efficient equipment operations. Maintain and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA-based systems, network cabling, variable speed drives, LV power distribution, and instrumentation. Interpret electrical schematics to carry out effective repairs and preventative maintenance. Proactively identify potential issues to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Uphold strict safety standards and contribute to our Zero Harm culture. Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all processing equipment operates reliably. Role requirements: Current Australian Electrical Licence/Trade Qualification full working rights. Strong mechanical aptitude. FMCG/manufacturing experience with food processing equipment knowledge. LV/ELV troubleshooting & ability to interpret electrical schematics. Safety-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Team player who works autonomously & drives improvement. Flexibility for on-call/overtime. Must pass pre-employment medical/drug test. Desirable PLC (Alan Bradley)/SCADA exposure. Experience in wet processing environments.
