Join The Education Innovation Exchange within Swinburne Part-time (0.4 FTE) fixed-term position until of Dec 2025 at our Hawthorn campus HEW Level 4 17% super and staff benefits About the Role Swinburne University’s Education Innovation Exchange (EIX) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Designer to join us. As our EIX Junior Designer, you’ll be reporting to the EIX Brand and Communications Coordinator assisting them to bring ideas to life through engaging graphics, animations, videos, web based and multimedia content. You’ll help design promotional materials, support internal marketing efforts, and contribute to the visual identity of EIX projects that impact staff and students alike. Your Creative Toolkit Should Include: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma and other design software Skills in storyboarding, visual and UX design, video editing, and animation A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills The ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple projects A commitment to inclusive, respectful communication and professional conduct This could be a great opportunity for someone currently studying Communication Design, Motion Design, UX Design, Photomedia, Media & Communications, or Marketing at Swinburne. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: In-depth knowledge of software design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud Ability to apply knowledge of storyboarding, visual design principles, communication design, user experience design, video-editing and animation. Good communication skills, including the ability to collaborate on short, medium and long-term projects with a range of stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and to prioritise work Qualifications Currently working towards completing a relevant Degree at Swinburne preferably in the area of: Communication Design, Motion Design, UX Design or Photomedia and/or Media and communications or marketing About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne’s strategy draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
