We are seeking a bus driver to transport students in a 23-seater bus Part-time, ongoing position to be worked from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, during term-time only Be part of a team dedicated to making a difference to the lives of students About the Role The School Bus Driver safely and reliably transport students to and from school, and potentially on various excursions, and activities throughout the school year. Most driving tasks are within Canberra & surrounds, however, there are occasional longer-distance drives for school activities. The ability to communicate at all levels is essential for this role. This role is term-time only, with a stand-down during school holidays. About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following: A current and valid ACT Light Rigid (LR) vehicle licence to drive a bus with 23 seats The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management A high regard for safety, road rules and regulations Knowledge and practice of safe driving at all times Effective communication and interpersonal skills A current First-Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) All team members at CGS are required to have: Appropriate qualifications A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card A current National Police Check; and Full working rights within Australia.
