Brisbane Mining / Oil & Gas / Utilities Other 12-month fixed term contract On site in Yatala Job Summary The Construction Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and improve overall performance in construction projects. This role involves the construction and update of required documentation to capture all information by working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making processes. The new colleague will maintain all elements of the completions system to include the project commissioning matrix document, completions check lists and occupational permits as required for the staged operational use of the recycling and manufacturing facility. Key accountabilities Data construction & maintenance. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions. Develop and maintain databases, data models, and data visualisations to effectively communicate findings. Design and implement data systems, processes, and standards to ensure data quality and accuracy. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop data-driven solutions. Communicate results and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular reports to management. Collaborate with project managers, quality, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure all required data is being obtained and recorded. Ability to review, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources and model into a comparable analysis model. Occupation support Identifying all requirements to obtain Occupation per stage Actively capturing the list of requirements to ensure that documentation, testing and sign-off is obtained efficiently as part of the normal project processes and as soon as practicable after the completion or delivery of an item. Creating the processes and systems to collate, store, manage and provide visibility to these requirements and to report on the progress of meeting these requirements. Correlate the OC deliverables list along with the Schedule so the management of an area includes the completion of OC as required by the schedule Quality Control & Completions Aiding the development and implementation of quality control on the project. The quality control process is the key driver to obtain the forms and documentation required for Practical Completion and Occupation Certification. Assisting with the development and administration of the project Quality management Plan (QMP) and supporting processes to manage quality outcomes for the project. Schedule Support the Scheduling team to develop comprehensive staged schedules for Occupation Certification to ensure that all elements required for staged operational use are complete, compliant and have Occupation Certification on time. Drive the completion of Occupation Certification requirements as required by the schedule. Key Requirements Mandatory (critical for the role) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power Platform) Familiarity with Primavera P6 Proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, csv .pbix. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. High level of computer literacy Strong report writing skills Desirable (preferable for the role) Project management experience Knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with construction project management tools is a plus. Knowledge of commissioning, isolation and Safety regulations would be a plus. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in data science would be highly regarded. Apply Now
