About the role Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for user-centred design? We're looking for a UX/UI Designer to shape intuitive, visually compelling, and accessible interfaces across our suite of technology products. The team is a mixture of remote and hybrid (Newcastle based). You will work with other teams geographically distributed across Australia and overseas. What you will be doing Wireframing & Prototyping: Bring concepts to life with wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes. User-Centred Design: Design experiences that prioritize usability, accessibility, and seamless navigation. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive design solutions. Usability Testing & Research: Conduct research and testing to validate and enhance user interactions. UI Design: Craft visually engaging interfaces that align with design system guidelines and business goals. Innovation & Strategy: Contribute fresh ideas and elevate product functionality through design excellence. What you will bring Tertiary Qualifications and/or Experience : Relevant qualifications in Design, Computer Science or related discipline and/or 3 years working as a UX-UI Designer. Design & Tech Proficiency: Strong skills in Figma and UI frameworks, with familiarity in React, Angular, Rust or similar code languages. User Research & Accessibility Expertise: Experience applying usability principles and WCAG guidelines for inclusive design. Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: A keen eye for visual consistency and a structured approach to refining user experiences. Communication & Facilitation: Confident in conducting workshops and articulating design rationale.
