Location: Office – 3/56-60 Export Drive, Brooklyn VIC 3012 Position: Civil Engineer (Full-Time) Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 Superannuation Company: ABM – Applied Building & Maintenance What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you’ll manage civil engineering elements on a diverse range of projects, including structural remediation, facility upgrades, and new developments. Your responsibilities will include: Administer contracts in line with AS 4000/4905 standards, managing variations, EOTs, progress claims, and subcontractor agreements. Coordinate construction and maintenance works across residential, commercial, and government sites, ensuring compliance with the NCC, VBA, and relevant Australian Standards. Conduct site inspections and liaise with site managers and trades to ensure project milestones, quality, and safety targets are met. Develop and maintain project schedules, assist in forecasting resources, and monitor budgets using MS Project and Excel tools. Manage both reactive and planned maintenance activities, collaborating with facility managers and clients to minimize disruptions. Prepare technical documentation, QA reports, WHS files, and handover packages for project closeout and audits. Act as key liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and support project delivery. Contribute to tender submissions and procurement by providing technical and contractual input. What You’ll Need 1. A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering 2. 3 years of experience in civil engineering or related infrastructure roles 3. Strong understanding of Australian building codes, construction regulations, and engineering standards 4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and contractor coordination 6. High attention to detail with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset 7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure 8.
