About the Role Due to the continued growth of the business, we are currently looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer to join the team in Perth, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the technical aspects involved in Oil & Gas projects within the Engineering team. This position will require you to work closely with the Project Manager and other internal and external stakeholders. This position may require site travel to onshore and offshore facilities. Duties will include but not limited to Develop and review work packs and technical drawings. Perform risk assessments and prepare technical documentation. Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and project teams. Manage and support all phases of engineering projects. Estimate scope, budget, and schedules. Supervise CAD work and mentor junior engineers. Site focal point for quality control. Maintain equipment registers and provide ongoing technical support. Support site execution and hands-on roles during peak periods. Contribute to process improvements and troubleshoot technical issues. Use MS Office tools for planning and reporting. Engage in meetings, workshops, and continuous learning initiatives. Manage jobs onsite, onshore and offshore. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for both Contract Resources and clients. Maintain a strong safety culture. Requirements & Experience Needed Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Project Engineer. Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent majoring Chemical / Mechanical Engineering. Field/ onsite experience is highly desirable. Ability to complete manual work on site. Willingness to complete specialised training courses such as breathing apparatus, confined space rescue, working at heights and Emergency Offshore training. Extensive experience in engineering for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities. Expertise in nitrogen leak testing, purging, oil flushing, and flange management. Expertise in reading, generating interpreting, and applying technical and engineering drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, and technical specifications using engineering software tools. Proven track record of collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with a focus on refineries, LNG plants, ammonia and hydrogen facilities, gas processing, and chemical plants. Proficient in leak testing techniques, including liquid nitrogen, nitrogen membrane spread methods, and helium leak detection. Hands-on expertise in performing hot oil flushing for large steam/gas turbines, compressors, and hydraulic systems. In-depth knowledge of chemical cleaning processes such as degreasing, pickling, and passivation. Involved in engineering tasks such as procedure development and creating test and purge packs for project execution. Prior experience in managing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and decommissioning activities for complex industrial projects. Current C Class Manual Drivers Licence. Preferably Full rights to work in Australia.
