We are currently hiring an Engineering Technologist with duties encompassing a range of responsibilities from design development and material testing to overseeing construction projects, ensuring Milestone Living’s commitment to delivering high-quality and sustainable projects. Position: Engineering Technologist Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with consultants, engineers, and draftspersons to develop, refine, and prepare structural designs and detailed technical drawings for luxury builds, knock-down/rebuild projects, dual occupancy developments, and renovations. Provide expert technical input throughout the drafting process to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project objectives. Ensure all designs and construction plans meet stringent safety, environmental, aesthetic, and structural integrity requirements while complying fully with local building codes, regulations, and relevant standards. Conduct thorough evaluations of existing structures during renovations and knock-down/rebuild projects, providing informed recommendations for structural modifications, reinforcements, and improvements to optimize safety and performance. Regularly review and update designs and documentation to reflect current industry practices, regulatory changes, and project needs, ensuring continuous compliance and technical excellence. Proactively address engineering-related challenges encountered during construction by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to devise effective, timely solutions that maintain project integrity. Coordinate material selection and usage with relevant team members to ensure compatibility with design specifications, durability requirements, and overall project goals Requirements Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management Minimum one year of experience in Civil Engineering and Construction Management preferable Proficiency in Engineering Simulation Software such as Ansys
