Assignment Overview x2 roles available To commence ASAP until mid Nov 2025 (with possible extension) Paying $70 per hour super Working 8hrs per day, 40hrs per week Work from 4 Parramatta Square (3 days per week) and 2 days from home, plus traveling to sites across NSW is to be expected (all expenses are covered) Working with a collaborative team of 10 Rewarding job, delivering social housing initiatives Training on systems and procurement processes will be provided The Role The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) are tasked with building 120 new homes over the next 5yrs. As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for managing 12-15 construction projects (new builds) at a time. This includes procuring and managing the builders, monitoring project milestones, managing any cost variations and RFI’s. Description: Manage several construction projects including procurement, quality assurance as well as providing on-site project management support to the senior project managers. Work autonomously and in support of managers to deliver multiple residential construction projects across Capital Programs at any one time. Projects range from single dwelling and duplex developments through to small-scale, multi-unit developments across NSW, including both metro and regional locations on existing AHO sites. Each project will bring with it a range of site complexities and have an individual stakeholder profile. Liaise with a diverse range stakeholders such as builders, architects, local councils and ACHPs to identify and mitigate issues and risks that could cause impediments and for monitoring project delivery milestones. Travel is required across remote and regional NSW to perform quality inspections on New Build construction sites. Criteria We are seeking someone with A strong construction background, experienced in managing projects and working with builders. Residential housing experience is preferred. Experience working client side (managing the builders) is preferred. Experience managing multiple projects at any given time (10-15). Exposure to running procurement and contract management activities is preferred. Ability to make day-to-day decisions relating to work priorities and workload management autonomously.
