Position - Electrical Engineer Location – based in Salisbury Plain, South Australia, with field work across Adelaide and regional South Australia Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent THE ROLE: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in designing, planning, and overseeing a variety of electrical projects, working closely with a team of electricians, project managers, and clients to ensure every job is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. The role is full-time and ongoing. Key responsibilities include: • Collaborate with Electricians and fellow Engineers in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuits, including switchgear, cabling systems, motor control panels, solar energy setups, CCTV, and security alarm systems. • Plan, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems through detailed data collection, complex calculations, and performance charting to ensure operational efficiency and safety. • Provide technical solutions for electrical faults and complex issues, particularly in multi-path circuit systems. • Select appropriate tools, testing instruments, and equipment for various tasks, ensuring all are maintained in safe and serviceable condition. • Estimate and prepare detailed costings and timeframes for electrical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and project scope. • Modify and improve electrical prototypes, sub-systems, and assemblies to address performance deviations or meet revised specifications. • Supervise the installation, calibration, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure it meets engineering specifications and regulatory standards. • Evaluate engineering drawings, technical submissions, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with sound electrical engineering practices, safety guidelines, and established design criteria. • Apply engineering judgement in the selection and specification of tools and instruments for system testing and analysis. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or agreed equivalent). • Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience in a similar role. • Knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and WHS regulations. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Current driver’s licence and White Card. • You must have full Australian working rights to be eligible for consideration.
