Location State-wide Duties Represent clients of Tasmania Legal Aid including providing advice and having carriage of Family Law matters and Child Safety matters. Act as solicitor and counsel in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court, and Magistrates Court (Children Young Persons and Their Families Act matters.) Participate in mediation and/or conferences on behalf of Tasmania Legal Aid clients in relation to Family Law matters including Legal Aid Family Dispute Resolution Conferences. Perform such other professional work, particularly in the Family Law jurisdiction, as may be directed from time to time. Essential Requirements Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Desirable Requirements Significant knowledge and understanding of the Family Law Act as amended.
