About the Role: A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale projects within the mining and resources sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in multi-discipline engineering leadership and direct experience working on BHP projects , particularly within iron ore operations. As Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of discipline engineers and designers, ensuring technical excellence, schedule alignment, and quality assurance across project phases. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all engineering functions across complex resource projects Oversee multi-discipline design coordination, ensuring technical integrity and compliance Act as the main point of contact for technical queries and design-related decisions Ensure engineering deliverables meet BHP specifications, project milestones, and safety standards Collaborate closely with project management, construction, procurement, and client teams Identify and resolve risks and issues to maintain project momentum Mentor and support engineering team members to foster a high-performance culture About You: Degree-qualified engineer in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with at least 3 years on BHP projects Deep understanding of BHP standards, systems, and approval processes Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills Proven track record in delivering multi-discipline mining or heavy industry projects Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
