Tesh Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd (hereafter referred to as “TEF”) is a rapidly growing manufacturing and machining company which has a vacancy for a highly skilled professional Mechanical Engineer. A full-time position for a Mechanical Engineer is available for an immediate start. Specific duties and responsibilities for the position of Mechanical Engineer are as follows: · Maintain safety standards and proactively manage them across all renewable assets · Design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems for Petroleum, Re-Cycling, Manufacturing, Food Industry, and Building Industries · Verify mechanical designs through feasibility studies and performance evaluations · Review performance, reliability, and condition monitoring reports on key components and assets · Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop specifications, timelines, and budgets · Lead management of change process for any upgrades to assets · Use software and analysis tools for detailed design assessments, simulations, and technical documentation · Perform troubleshooting, investigations and root cause analysis for mechanical issues in existing systems MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate should have a degree qualified mechanical engineer which is equivalent to an Australian Bachelors’ degree, from a reputed university, as well as a current Australian Engineers Institute registration, which must be registered or able to gain registration as a Practising Engineer in New South Wales and other States if required. Additionally, the candidate must be well-conversant with managing multi-disciplinary projects, with specific focus on an ability to maintain Commitment Control oversight. SOFTWARE The candidate must be current user of SolidWorks and AutoCAD as a minimum. Prefer candidate to have access to the above software suits. Candidate must be advanced MS Excel and MS Project user with working knowledge of other MS applications such as Word, PowerPoint etc. STANDARDS Candidate must demonstrate advanced ruse of the following Engineering Standards; · Tanks: API 650/653 · Piping: ASME B31 · Pipeline: AS2885 · Electrical. Hazardous Area: AS/NZS 60079 SAFETY Candidate must demonstrate prior work experience/ capability in the following; · Behaviour Based Safety System · Process Safety Management System · Development of JSAs · Development of project Readiness Reviews · Credible, visible field based safety leadership in a safety focussed high hazard industry. · (Candidate to address above in their resume/application cover letter, indicating system names). MANAGEMENT SYSTEM APPLICATION Candidate must demonstrate the following; · Developed & implemented Short Service Worker Program · Developed & implemented Contractor Management System · Regular Management System upkeep to a requisite standard. REPORT WRITING Candidate must have experience in technical report writing and presenting content using MS PowerPoint. The successful candidate will be provided with an attractive remuneration package. The candidate should be self-motivated, be able to work well under pressure, and a team-player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
