Job Description As a Platform Engineer and Consultant at NCS Australia, you'll play a crucial role in driving innovation and helping our clients get the most from their technology landscape. The engineer will work with cloud-native technologies and automation frameworks to ensure platform security and reliability. You will develop and maintain infrastructure and automation pipelines, design and build scalable APIs. You will manage AWS, GCP and Azure cloud infra. You will Work with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes through to Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitOps practices. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be hands-on in developing code, shaping requirements, designing and deploying solutions, and setting up good engineering and quality practices. You will also be involved in Ops and afterhours production support (247) roster-based on call. Most of all, you'll have strong consulting skills, curiosity and a desire to add value. Qualifications You're a software engineer with experience across a variety of tech languages such as Python/ Go for API Development. Highly experienced in AWS including ECS/EKS/K8s experience, both in building microservices on ECS/ and building the ECS/* clusters themselves Proficiency with software-defined infrastructure orchestration tools like SaltStack or Terraform. Experience with immutable architectures and containerisation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes (building clusters), LXC, OpenVZ, or Xen. Expertise with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible. Proficiency in using distributed version control systems like Git. Hands on experience in the migration of containerised microservice builds from Bamboo and Stash to GitLab and GitLab Runners. Proficient with Git Ops and SRE skill sets and routines (Dashboarding, Operational experience, Support Queues) Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo etc Experience with Cloud SQL and automation using Python, Go, or Bash Experience in working with a large ecosystem of evolving APIs A high level of proficiency in modern architecture practices Linux/Unix system administration experience.
