The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed civil drawings and documentation for a range of development projects. This role is crucial in supporting our design and construction teams to ensure high-quality project delivery aligned with engineering standards and local council regulations. Roles and responsibilities: Creating detailed and technical drawings for sewerage reticulation, water supply systems, and associated civil components using CAD drafting tools. Ensuring quality control by reviewing design outputs, verifying technical accuracy, and checking that all drawings and specifications align with project standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations by incorporating safety standards into design documentation, identifying potential on-site hazards Estimating material quantities and costs required for civil works while ensuring adherence to project budgets. Reviewing design outputs to confirm compliance with construction specifications, local regulations, and contractual provisions. Conducting site visits to ensure construction activities align with detailed drawings and that specified materials are used in accordance with project requirements and standards. Preparing site layouts and plans for residential and greenfield developments, including roads, drainage, and utility infrastructure. Interpreting engineering briefs, planning approvals, and council standards to ensure design compliance and accuracy. Collecting and analysing topographical and survey data to perform earthworks, grading, and service-related calculations for civil designs. Inspecting on-site civil works for alignment with approved design documentation and technical requirements. Coordinating or supervising rectification, maintenance, or modification works to ensure quality control and project delivery standards. Key Requirements Relevant Diploma-level qualifications. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in civil drafting, preferably in residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Good communication and teamwork skills Valid driver’s licence (preferred for site visits) Salary $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 plus Superannuation per annum
