Civil Engineer — Laverton North, Wyndham Area

At A&Y Associates Pty Ltd, a trusted provider of geotechnical engineering solutions, we’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic and professional team! About the Role As a Civil Engineer with us, you’ll play a key role in delivering geotechnical and civil engineering services across a wide variety of projects, including site investigation, ground assessment, foundation design, and slope stability for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Australia. Key Responsibilities Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including drilling supervision, test pit logging, sampling, and in-situ testing Analyse soil and rock mechanics to provide reliable foundation design recommendations Prepare technical reports, drawings, and design recommendations Assist in foundation design, slope stability analysis, assessment of retaining structures, and earthworks planning Use geotechnical and civil design software to model and analyse data, and interpret results Prepare geotechnical design input for structures including footings, basements, pavements, and temporary shoring Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support project development Ensure work complies with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and environmental requirements Qualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Geotechnical background preferred) 2 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering ·Experience with earthworks related projects would be highly regarded Demonstrated experience in site investigation and consulting projects Other Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools ·Understanding of construction & engineering drawings Excellent communication and teamwork abilities ·A high standard of accuracy and attention to details ·Ideally capable of driving a manual vehicle Ability to operate a drill rig is an advantage Eligibility to work in Australia What We Offer A supportive and collaborative work environment Exposure to diverse and exciting engineering projects Ongoing professional development and training Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for career progression within a growing firm
