Role Detail Part of our wider Finance team, you will be joining our highly regarded Systems & Data team. Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager, the focus of this role is to ensure the ongoing seamless operation and viability of our Practice Management System (PMS)- Elite - and related systems. This role aims to enhance the quality and depth of systems, ensuring seamless operation by identifying and resolving issues that may impact the reliability and performance of the system. Who uses Elite in the firm? Lawyers for time entry and matter information; Finance teams for accounting and billing; Technology for system maintenance and data reporting; Management for strategic decision-making based on reporting – You will have exposure and contact with most areas of the firm! With flexibility to be based in our Melbourne or Sydney CBD office, drawing on your Finance lens, this role will focus on: • Ensuring base functionality for Elite and related systems is operating as designed, with version upgrades in line with documentation provided, and that any subsequent hotfixes and patches are functioning as specified. • Investigating and resolving issues raised by the business. • Ensuring appropriate testing of changes to software. • Communicating effectively, escalating issues, and following up with the most appropriate resources to ensure timely and effective resolution. • Ensuring accurate and timely system balancing in line with financial timeframes. • Participating in and providing support for projects. About You This role requires a maturity and pragmatism that comes from experience - As a natural problem solver, your analytical skills will be valued when solving escalated system challenges. As a one team, one firm culture, you will have an excellence without arrogance ethos and a client centric approach. You will also need: • Elite 3E or Elite Enterprise expertise • Financial systems knowledge • Familiarity with law firm operations • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Knowledge of accounting concepts and techniques. • Data analysis skills. • Ability to interrogate system tables to assist with analytical system reviews. • Experience with MS SQL Server database and tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Flexibility to work outside typical business hours as needed. • Excellent time management skills.
