Job Description About the Position: The Shire of Broome is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our Governance team in the role of Senior Administration & Governance Officer on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This position plays a key role in supporting the Manager Governance, Strategy and Risk, while also contributing to the wider organisation and Council in meeting legislative, statutory and performance responsibilities. Enjoy a Monthly rostered days off. Attendance at Council meetings outside standard working hours will be required. Flexible working arrangements considered for the right candidate. About You: The ideal candidate will have: A sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and regulations, or experience and exposure to other legislation and regulation in a compliance related role. Experience in the preparation of agendas and minutes. Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development. Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office 365. Experience in Infocouncil will be highly regarded. The ability to work autonomously, exercising initiative and judgment, as well as in a team. A mature, responsible and solution-focused attitude.
