Casual Community Rehabilitation Worker - Elpida House & Inpatient Rehabilitation Services Job no: 890435 Work type: Casual Location: Adelaide Metro Western Categories: Mental Health Central Adelaide Local Health Network Mental Health Services, Elpida House, Mile End Salary OPS-2 $29.57 - $31.81 per hour plus 25% casual leave loading Casual About the role The Mental Health Directorate is made up of a range of multidisciplinary teams providing recovery-focused clinical services to consumers. These teams include acute, community and rehabilitation teams in adult and older persons’ services. We currently have positions are available at Elpida House. Elpida House provides medium term recovery-focussed rehabilitation in a residential facility to support consumers to transition to community living. The unit has a strong consumer centred focus. The Community Rehabilitation Worker (CRW) will support consumers in their goals of rehabilitation and recovery through the provision of direct support for day to day tasks. As a member of the Elpida House, the CRW will work across a range of environments including the centre and larger community to assist and support the development of the resident’s rehabilitation in partnership with their existing formal and informal networks. The CRW works under the general direction of the clinical staff to provide a range of non-clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation support, in conjunction with those services provided by the professional/clinical on-site team. Tasks and duties performed will be of a practical nature, supporting a resident’s accomplishment of their stated goals and facilitate improved functioning and community tenure, and may include helping to facilitate therapeutic groups. About You We are looking for a dedicated Community Rehabilitation Worker who has a passion for supporting individuals through their rehabilitation journey. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Relevant Qualifications : Certificate IV in Mental Health (Non-Clinical) or currently enrolled in an undergraduate health course. Effective Communication : Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse individuals and communities. Team Player : Proven experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team. Understanding of Rehabilitation : Knowledge of the philosophy of rehabilitation and recovery, especially in mental health contexts.
