Role Purpose: The role of the Contract Administrator is to manage the creation, execution and oversight of contracts. They draft and review contracts, negotiate terms and ensure compliance with legal standards. Their role includes maintaining documentation, monitoring deadlines and resolving disputes to drive the maximization of project margin and mitigation of risk Key Responsibilities: Ensuring UGL complies with the requirements of the head contract and/or joint venture agreement. Sub-contractors and UGL meet respective sub-contract(s) requirements in full. Administering the contract to ensure that all activities, responsibilities and obligations of the contract are met in a timely, accurate, effective and compliant matter. Maintaining complete contractual records, correspondence, proposed changes to contracts, warranties, delays, extensions of time and other contract management functions as directed Establishing and maintaining an up-to-date framework of reports for all interested parties on the commercial status of the contract. Support, work closely and effectively with Project Managers and Corporate Legal. Monitor and review all subcontracts to report on the performance of the contract, as it relates to the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, products, or sub contracted services, parties’ responsibilities and obligations and customer satisfaction. Identify, negotiate, facilitate, report and close-out contract variations. Facilitate & Manage negotiations for amendments to or extensions of contracts, in conjunction with Corporate Legal. Facilitate the resolution of contract inconsistencies and/or changes to terms and conditions via coordinating discussions and liaison with internal management and Corporate Legal. Qualifications: Knowledge of contracts, consortium and joint venture agreements, financing contracts, legal terminology, Australian and NSW legislative requirements that apply to the rail industry (including environmental requirements). Experience in the rail, automotive, military, defence, aviation or any other safety critical environment is preferred but not essential. Skill in reading and comprehending contract terms and conditions, legislation and regulations, technical specifications, laws and codes as they relate to contract management.
