About Us Kingston Centre, located in Cheltenham, is a stand-alone subacute site within Victoria’s largest public health service, Monash Health. Onsite we have a purpose-built rehabilitation centre which encompasses a large onsite gym, pool and kitchen amenities for our consumers. GEM (Geriatric Evaluation & Management) @ Kingston Centre is comprised of 4 wards providing specialist assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex and multi-dimensional needs including medical, functional, and often cognitive conditions. South 5 ward is one of the GEM Unit that is dedicated to delivering patient care in line with our iCare values and ensure that all patients are treated with dignity and respect while in our care. GEM @ Kingston Centre delivers care across the inpatient, subacute and community setting and is a key pillar of the Monash Health strategy to provide timely care close to home. On South 5 ward, the Ward Clerk is a key role within the Unit, providing a customer focussed service to patients, their families and visitors. Working in a busy team-based environment the Ward Clerk provides efficient and effective clerical support to the clinical unit employees. The Ward Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring optimal patient care by efficiently managing clinical and administrative tasks. They collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to support the smooth functioning of the unit/ward, addressing both clinical and administrative needs in a timely manner. About the role We are seeking a ward clerk with a strong focus on customer service and time management skills, and excellent computer skills who is experienced and enjoys working within a ward team environment. You will have advanced ward clerk experience within the hospital system with competency in the programs used within the acute setting. A sound knowledge of medical terminology and computer/IT skills is essential. We currently have a Part Time (48 hours per fortnight) Fixed Term position until January 2026. Shifts are from Wednesday to Friday. About You Health care administration is fast paced, our Administration Officers are an integral part of the team. You are a proactive, experienced health care administrator who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can work effectively in an autonomous role.
