We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (Cyber security)to join their team and play a key role in safeguarding critical infrastructure and information assets. About the Role: This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the organisation’s information systems. You will focus on securing systems infrastructure — including servers, PCs, Active Directory, and key applications — and contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive security improvement plan. Key Responsibilities: Enhance security controls across systems infrastructure and improve operational processes Identify and assess risks and vulnerabilities Administer, monitor, and maintain security technologies and configurations Collaborate on new initiatives to ensure compliance with evolving security standards Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Essential Skills & Experience: 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a Systems Administrator role within a medium to large enterprise Solid technical knowledge across infrastructure, applications, and network environments Proven experience in implementing and managing information security frameworks aligned to industry best practices (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, ASD ISM) Familiarity with technologies including Active Directory, Windows Server/Desktop OS, VMware, Citrix, SQL, SCCM, Exchange, SharePoint Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and vendors Experience with service management methodologies (e.g. ITIL, PRINCE2) Highly Regarded: Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or equivalent Experience in healthcare or government sectors Awareness of frameworks and standards including Victorian Government Security Standards, and HIPAA Hands-on knowledge of systems management, IP networking, and internet technologies Apply Now
