The sweet things you'll be involved in: Sugar Australia & Wilmar Ingredients have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager - Northern to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity, based at our Macquarie Park, NSW office. Reporting to the National Industrial Sales Manager, this role will play a crucial part in driving industrial sales growth and margin across the region by executing targeted sales strategies, ensuring long-term customer sustainability, and leading, coaching, and developing team members to achieve Sugar Australia's strategic objectives. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Commercial Leadership & Strategy: Drive the development and execution of customer plans aligned with the broader industrial business strategy, including budget support, contract negotiation to deliver profitable sales volume and margin growth. Maintain a deep understanding of commercial drivers, market dynamics, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Customer & Market Focus: Serve as a customer advocate by strengthening relationships through strategic engagements (e.g. site visits, executive meetings), delivering value-added services such as market intelligence and risk management training, and ensuring customer needs are effectively communicated and met across the business. Operational Excellence: Lead accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with the Supply Chain team, manage overheads and customer contracts in line with business policies and delegated authority, and contribute industrial expertise to cross-functional business operations. Team Leadership: Guide, support, and develop the Industrial Sales team to foster collaboration, uphold our business values, and ensure high performance against KPIs. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and shared success. What we're wanting you to bring to the table: This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in commercial sales strategy, customer engagement and people leadership skills. Tertiary degree in business qualification, or other equivalent degree qualification Significant experience within the Food industry in Australia preferably commodity food products, export and Food Service experience Proven success in leading teams, implementing change, innovative solutions to drive business outcomes Advanced level in Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) About Sugar Australia Sugar Australia is the nation's trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions enabling our customers to make great products for every home.
