Admin / Secretarial / Office Support Administration Sydney Contract or Temp 8/5/2025 Based in Dee Why Fixed term contract Working with a small friendly team This contract will be working with the Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit who provide a range of maintenance and delivery relating to road assets, traffic management and street lighting; and infrastructure related to parking system assets. The successful candidate will provide effective and high quality, professional administrative support to the Transport and Civil Infrastructure business unit, with an emphasis to the Plant, Fleet & Stores team. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, efficient, and responsive administrative support to ensure seamless operations across Community Transport, Parking & Fleet functions. Conduct research and maintain awareness of market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships across Council teams, contributing to a cohesive, supportive, and positive workplace culture. Provide customer-focused service aligned with Council’s objectives, standards, and community expectations. Engage in and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance, service delivery, and operational efficiency. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with Council policies. Assist the Stores Officer and provide cross-functional support to other departments as required, promoting teamwork and operational flexibility. Stay informed on technological advancements and legislative changes relevant to the sector, ensuring compliance and innovation readiness. Effectively manage competing priorities and workload demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. To be eligible Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, while maintaining a strong commitment to team collaboration and adaptability through multi-skilling. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, effectively plan workload, and consistently meet deadlines in a high-demand environment. Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in data entry, spreadsheets and report preparation, ensuring accuracy, clear presentation and attention to detail across all administrative tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment, and handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
