Daily rate contract role To Aug 2025 initially Kensington, Sydney with Flexible and or Hybrid working Specific accountabilities for this role include: Skills and Experience: The Application System Administrator role is required to ensure continuity of service to maintain uninterrupted support for critical AWS, Oracle database, PeopleSoft, myUNSW and PHP infrastructure systems for SIMS ECO system and to mitigate Operational Risk by preventing gaps in monitoring, incident response, and vendor coordination that could lead to downtime or compliance issues; to support ongoing projects like Academic Calendar changes API Gateway Productionising and AWS Cost Optimisation and Security related initiatives as well as: · Set up environments across development, test, and production while ensuring high availability and scalability taking into consideration well-architected and rightsizing guidelines. · Oversee the integration of applications with underlying cloud services (e.g. AWS) or on-premise systems. · Ensure that the infrastructure supports performance, security, and compliance requirements. · Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline application deployment, monitoring, and management tasks. · Ensure corrective, preventative and adaptive maintenance plans are documented and executed · Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track application performance and health.
