Sales Representative (Business Services) - NSW Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are proudly working with a leading provider of value-added and raw seafood products, serving the Australian food service industry. Presently, they are seeking an experienced, dynamic Sales Representative (Business Services ) to join their Foodservice team, based in Sydney. Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will be the key point of contact for wholesalers and end-users, representing our client’s iconic brand. This is a unique opportunity to drive business growth, foster strong relationships, and make a meaningful impact within the seafood industry. While prior seafood knowledge is not essential, a background in foodservice is highly desirable. . As part of a high-performing team, you'll have the chance to bring fresh ideas to the table and help shape the future of this well regarded entity. The role may require occasional travel to regional areas. The role is full time, and ongoing. Location (base): North Rocks NSW Responsibilities will include Client Acquisition and Relationship Management : Identify and target potential clients in the food service industry. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction. Product Knowledge and Promotion: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the seafood products offered, including their sourcing, quality, and sustainability. Promote these products to clients, highlighting their unique selling points and benefits. Market Analysis and Sales Development: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals and increase market share. Sales Presentations and Negotiations : Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction. Order Management and Coordination : Manage the entire sales process, from order placement to delivery. Coordinate with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Customer Support and Issue Resolution : Provide exceptional customer support by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. Follow up with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Sales Reporting and Performance Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business expenses. Prepare regular sales reports and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards targets. Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Promote sustainable and responsible seafood sourcing practices. What you’ll need to be considered: -Demonstrated experience in professional sales roles (ideally food service) for 1 or more years -Knowledge of the seafood industry (raw and value add) -Suitable academic background, Cert II or agreed substitute -Well-developed communications skills, across a range of professional settings - Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person with a passion for food (particularly seafood) to further develop their career.
