We are therefore on the search for a State Sales & Operations Manager who is hungry, to launch and lead the Tasmania Branch. This is a role that will scale. What does an average week look like: Reporting to the CEO (based in Australia) in this fast paced, sales centric role, you will be responsible for: All sales and strategic business development. Working with a growth mind set, you will develop the strategic plans that will achieve the sales targets and maximise growth opportunities. Day to day, you will be making sales calls and visiting your customers with the prime objective of growing the business and expanding market presence Once the sales gain further momentum , you will build on your Branch operations team. So although a very sales orientated role initially, part of your ongoing remit will evolve to incorporate the overseeing and management of the daily operations of the Branch, ensuring efficiency, productivity and profitability at all times Relationship management. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors and all key stakeholders will be a key part of this role Stock level management - including coordinating deliveries, and liaising with suppliers for timely orders Financial management - with the support of Head Office, you will manage the Tasmania financials and continually identify areas for cost reduction and margin improvement Here’s what it will take: You: Are likely to be at a Sales/State/Branch Manager level with a very proven sales track record in business development and account management. Your therefore know how to formulate sales strategies, plans and targets that delivers growth and maximises opportunities You have timber experience – this is essential! Have sound business acumen - you have a deep understanding of the financial levers across all areas of a P&L Your stakeholder and relationships management skills are ‘next level.’ You have an innate ability to leverage these strengths and skills to influence, deliver and drive sustainable profitable outcomes and you are proven in driving and developing sales strategies, with people and partners, always on the journey Have endless drive, determination, resilience, persistence and a commitment that inspires others. You are always ‘in it for the team’ Take a non-hierarchical approach i.e. are prepared and comfortable getting your hands dirty as much as you are at performing the strategic, relationship and operational management aspects of the role Have a deep passion for sales and delivering sustainable results and effortlessly know how to translate the ‘vision’ into day-to-day operational excellence and sales results Thrive in a role that is not ‘office based’ – you enjoy being out in the field, developing relationships, identifying and closing out new opportunities and growing existing accounts Are professionally mature: you inspire confidence, are incredibly commercial, and are motivated by driving a customer-led sales agenda.
