Operator – Customer Service Role Location: Somerton, VIC Pay Rate: $44.44 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Employment Type: Casual Full-Time (Permanent role can be offered after 6 months to the right candidate) Transcend Workforce is currently seeking a skilled and adaptable individual to join our client’s team in a dual Operator/Customer Service role. Our client is a well-established leader in the steel reinforcement industry, supporting construction, infrastructure, and residential projects. About the Role: This is a unique 50/50 split position—you will spend 2 days per week in a customer service role and 3 days per week operating on the manufacturing floor. A background in heavy manufacturing is essential. Customer Service duties include: Answering phones and assisting customers Taking and entering customer orders Ordering stock and performing cycle counts Assisting with dispatch and logistics Manufacturing Operator duties include: Operating cutting and bending machines (training provided) Using a gantry crane (training provided) Forklift operation This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable switching between customer-facing and hands-on production work. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to move into a Team Leader role.
