About the role We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Engineer - Electrical Design to join our Engineering Field Services team based in Leederville. Reporting to the Senior Principal Engineer, Minor Design, you’ll provide quality design services for our water and wastewater infrastructure projects across WA. What the role will involve Develop and deliver strategic reports and designs for the solution of infrastructure problems using in-house or external resources Examine tenders and makes recommendations Prepare briefs for the engagement of consultants, evaluate consultant proposals and report appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Undertake the role of Design Manager for nominated projects Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to infrastructure design Inspect and supervise key parts of large engineering works and/or contracts or small individual works and contracts Key skills and experience You’ll have a degree in electrical engineering, or related discipline, along with substantial experience with analysis & design of infrastructure assets, contract management and technical support of operating assets. Knowledge of water and wastewater will be highly desirable. Your ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence with both internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
