Kitchen Assistant, Early Childhood Service – Carlton North (Part time) — Carlton North, Melbourne

Opportunity for a kitchen assistant to join our team at the Carlton North Early Learning Centre. In our newly renovated kitchen, you'll play a vital role in preparing and cooking delicious and nutritious meals that support the health and development of our young learners. The Role Working with our Kitchen Supervisor you’ll be supporting the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including planning the menu and meal preparation whilst ensuring dietary requirements are being met and allergies are managed. When the Kitchen Supervisor is not rostered you’ll be required to work autonomously and will be responsible for all kitchen duties. This a rewarding role where you’ll help prepare nutritious meals for the benefit of children. You’ll work with great people within a supportive environment, whilst working for a values based not-for-profit that put its people first. About You You will have previous cooking experience and be able to demonstrate your ability to work both within a team and autonomously. You’ll ideally also have a nationally recognised qualification in cooking (desirable) or current Food Handling Certificate with knowledge of food safety and storage.
