The Technology and Operations (Tech & Ops) Risk team is responsible for providing specialist Line 2 Operational Risk and Compliance (OR&C) advice, assurance and acceptance/approval of decisions made across the Technology, COO and Supplier Support Units. The Chief Operations Office (COO) Line 2 Risk & Compliance team with Tech & Ops Risk, is responsible for providing independent Operational Risk and Compliance (OR&C) advice, assurance and acceptance/approval of decisions made across the COO to ensure a strong control and compliance environment that operates within risk appetite. Do work that matters: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Compliance Advisory to join our team. This role will focus on providing compliance advisory and assurance support to our retail operations business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services, particularly in retail banking compliance, and possess strong stakeholder management and business writing skills. Key responsibilities for this role includes: Provide compliance advisory support to retail operations business stakeholders. Assess compliance incidents to determine if they result in breaches of financial services law. Advise on compliance considerations for business changes and specific circumstances. Develop and implement measures, processes, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Approve compliance self-assessments and ensure appropriate controls and compliance arrangements are in place. Contribute to senior management reporting, including compliance contributions to CRO reporting and NFRC. Maintain knowledge of internal compliance management frameworks and relevant financial services laws and standards. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Proven experience as a Senior Manager in a compliance advisory role, preferably within retail banking. Strong stakeholder management and effective communication skills. Excellent business writing and communication skills. Demonstrable experience in financial services, with a focus on compliance. In-depth knowledge of compliance management frameworks and relevant financial services laws, including NCCP Act, Corporations Act, Banking Code of Practice, Privacy Act, and E-Payments Code.
