We currently have a number of positions available for school bus drivers for either morning or afternoon shifts or both! About Our School Bus Drivers Due to the expansion of our business, we are currently looking to bring new Bus Drivers into our existing team of exceptionally dedicated School Bus & Charter Drivers. The advantage of being a casual driver is the ability to choose between morning (2 hours), afternoon (2 hours), or both shifts. You’ll have the consistency of regular, stable hours, Monday to Friday, whether you're looking for 10 or 20 hours per week. Having school holidays off will give you the balance to enjoy your time or to focus on the other important aspects of your life!. Our School Bus & Charter Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of our passengers through skilful driving to the ability build positive relationships with students, parents and teachers alike. Our School Bus Drivers are friendly, approachable and committed to providing a safe and professional service. They are patient and understanding and most importantly, they really care! Opportunities exist at out Ivanhoe Depot and are available for an immediate start We have the following roles available to fulfill our school runs: 20 hours per week – this role is split shifts (2 hours AM & PM), Monday to Friday 10 hours per week AM – this role is 2 hours in the morning, Monday to Friday 10 hours per week PM – this role is 2 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday What we offer We offer ongoing support, training, competitive industry rates, and the stability of working in a secure industry. MR licencing and training will be provided for the right applicants. What you need: Full car licence An MR Licence is required to drive a bus. If you don’t have an MR Licence, that’s not an issue – we provide training for all successful applicants. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Customer focused individuals with the desire to provide assistance when required A high regard for safety, road rules and regulations Availability to work Monday to Friday morning and /or afternoons Ability to obtain relevant medical and background clearances including Drivers Accreditation (DC) and Working with Children’s Card (WWCC) Experience working with youth or vulnerable people is highly regarded Our Culture At Ventura, we want our people to love coming to work, drive innovative ideas and strive to deliver service; That’s what drives a better future!
