A well-established retail business in the jewellery industry is seeking a Junior Planner to join its dynamic planning and merchandise team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about retail to build their career in merchandise planning and inventory management. As a Junior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting planning operations by managing inventory levels, tracking product performance, and helping optimise stock across stores and regions. Working closely with buying, merchandising, marketing, and visual teams, you'll contribute to delivering the right product mix to the right place at the right time-ensuring a seamless retail experience. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of region-specific product assortments based on customer demand and trends Assist in forecasting and inventory planning using historical sales data and market insights Monitor product performance and support strategies to optimise stock and reduce slow-moving inventory Help plan stock replenishment, markdowns, and promotional pricing strategies Track and report on key planning metrics, including forecast accuracy and stock levels Collaborate with internal teams to align on promotions, seasonal campaigns, and store layouts Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage lead times effectively. About You: The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A proactive, organised individual with strong time-management and communication skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail and an interest in data-driven decision-making Proficiency in Excel and general Microsoft Office tools A team player with a keen interest in retail planning, supply chain, or merchandise operations Passion for the jewellery or fashion retail industry is a strong advantage Some experience or knowledge of supply chain or inventory processes Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is desirable Familiarity with jewellery or fashion trends is a plus.
