This role is responsible for providing systems support nationally and desktop support for the Sydney office. The HW Service Desk team consists of nine people and forms part of the broader national Technology team which is structured across infrastructure, development, application support, information security and service desk. In this role, you will be responsible for: assisting with the rollout of new Microsoft Windows 11; responding to user inquiries; the provision of support across a range of hardware and software; ensuring all user requests are logged in the service desk system; imaging laptops; identifying and escalating problems/issues which require additional expertise; coordinating the timely provision of service desk support services; communicating to users as to the progress of their inquiries from receipt to closure of the call; advising users about service desk and operational support facilities and procedures; identifying and advising Service Delivery Manager/IT Manager of recurrent user inquiries; updating and maintaining the call-log to ensure accurate recording of all calls received; and encouraging user feedback. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: experience working in a customer service role; working towards a degree or diploma in IT related field; strong attention to detail; strong organisational skills; excellent customer service skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands; and the ability to work well independently as well as productively within a team.
