This will be a 6 month fixed term contract. The Role We are looking for someone with insurance/underwriting knowledge to join us on a fixed term contract to help our underwriting team during our busy renewal period. Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: Provide secretariat support in meetings and monitor the progress of action items. Assist in preparing reports, summaries, and documentation as required Update insurance and CRM systems, ensuring all data is complete and accurate Handle general administrative duties including data entry, and scheduling Collaborate with underwriting staff to prioritize and expedite urgent cases. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and service-level agreements. Assist with implementation of improvements to the new business process Assist with renewal activities Assist High Risk Member functions, including liaising with members both verbally and in writing Provide additional support to the Underwriters and Risk Advisors in relation to the business transformation program. Assist with other Underwriting functions Skills and Experience Highly organised with a strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) Ability to work within timeframes and to prioritise workloads Confident and effective communication skills, both written and verbal Proactive approach Strong customer services skills Competent with CRM systems Formal Qualifications 12 months experience in the insurance industry, preferably in underwriting RG146/Tier 2 desirable Secretariat skills desirable Thorough understanding of insurance principles and industry practices required Familiarity with underwriting systems or document management software Certificate IV insurance qualification or similar desirable What’s on Offer Attractive remuneration Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation with an outstanding team culture.
