Join Sunwater as a Design Manager where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the design and delivery of Barlil and Cooranga Weirs, You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of various design phases of complex Sunwater projects to ensure that the design meets both the required technical standard and performance that is fit for purpose As a Design Manager at Sunwater, you will: Be responsible for the development of scope of works for multi discipline design activities and co ordinating the associated design activities Ensure that a design management plan is established and details the key deliverables from the design team that meets the project objectives. Conduct regular design reviews and maintain the design deliverables register, including safety assessments and quality audits. Utilisation of earned value methodologies to manage budget, schedule and quality standards and actively be involved in cost and schedule forecasting. Managing and coordinating design reviews including with the project team, internal stakeholders, Technical Review Panels, and the Dam Safety Regulator, as applicable. We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary internal and external design teams and delivering complex projects. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent fields and have 15 plus years’ experience in design management within an infrastructure environment. You will also bring: Design management expertise: Expertise in engineering and design management methodology delivering complex projects to the required safety, technical, quality, schedule and cost standards. Innovative vision: Ability to think innovatively and adapt as necessary in order to resolve issues and ensure the achievement of project objectives and the management of project risks and opportunities Communication skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
