Project Coordinator - Retail Industry — Newington, Auburn Area

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to oversee our retail store renovation projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the cost estimation, tendering, progress tracking, and onsite quality control to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. This role requires occasional domestic and international travel to oversee project sites and collaborate with stakeholders. Mandarin speaking is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Budget Control Calculate and manage renovation costs, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Tendering & Contractor Management Oversee bidding process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor proposals. Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices. Project Coordination & Progress Management Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time. Coordinate with internal teams, designers, and contractors to streamline workflow. Identify potential project delays and implement corrective measures. Onsite Supervision & Quality Control Conduct onsite inspections to ensure work meets quality and safety standards Identify and resolve any construction related issues promptly. Ensure all work complies with local building regulations and company guidelines. About You: Minimum 3 years of experience in retail store renovation, construction project coordination, or related fields. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety regulations. Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
