About the opportunity: Reporting to the Field Sales Manager your primary purpose will be to manage and grow volumes and margins with existing “Tail” customers as well as the generation of new accounts. This will include call plans, cold calling, quoting, dispute and debtor management in a timely and effective manner whilst also growing relationships. You will be accountable for undertaking ‘value added' activity (i.e, ‘promoting VAP products' and ‘managing VAP sample stock and office showroom') in order to drive revenue and sales growth and you will assist the sales team with the investigation and collation of background information pertaining to quoting opportunities and identifying opportunities via different platforms. Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position description which is available upon request and will include: Supporting the sales team with activities for particular accounts. Accompanying Account Managers on a regular basis to visit customers. Developing and maintaining a structured customer contact plan for major accounts in line with the market participant plans. Identifying appropriate new business opportunities. Reviewing dormant and/or lost customers and ensuring plans are in place with Account Managers to re-engage where and when appropriate. Building and maintaining working relationships with all key stakeholders. About you: To succeed, you may come from a similar Internal Sales or Inside Sales role and/ or have customer service or administrative experience in any relatable field. Experience within the Concrete, Aggregates, Industrial manufacturing or related sectors will be an advantage, but your success will be determined as much by your motivation, professionalism, energy and superior communication skills as by your career background.
