We require a Construction & Commissioning Manager to join the ECG Project Delivery Team, to oversee and execute E&I construction and commissioning for complex projects across Australia and overseas. The E&I Construction & Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of E&I construction and commissioning across all mining projects. The role includes initial pricing, planning (direct/indirect), risk assessment, HSC safety assessment, regulatory compliance, and site execution & commissioning strategy. This roles key function is to support the ECG construction and commissioning crews, debottlenecking and troubleshooting issues as they emerge on projects, while driving quality, efficiency and optimizing project systems. The Construction & Commissioning Manager will work closely with the Project and Study Manager and involve ad hoc site visits as required. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in E&I construction and commissioning, with a strong background in managing complex projects in the mining and industrial sectors. They will have proven leadership skills, a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and the ability to navigate the complexities of global project environments. While construction / engineering qualifications are advantageous, we will consider candidates with qualifications in project management, or related fields, provided they have the requisite experience. Key Experience Required Qualifications in Electrical, Construction Management, or related field (ideally) Major project experience in E&I construction and commissioning, both office and site, ideally Africa Experience in project pricing, planning, and risk assessment Demonstrated process improvement / optimization in the construction / commissioning space Strong understanding of HSC safety assessments and regulatory compliance Experience managing site execution, including schedules, manning, materials, and logistics Exposure to project controls, forecasting, and planning Ensure Lessons Learned, ARE Lessons Learned Skills and Attributes Required Engineering / construction management / project management degree or equivalent Exceptional leadership and communication skills Strong report writing and organizational skills Moderate to advanced Excel and Project Wise knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with Microsoft Project / P6 Ultra-positive work attitude, thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to travel as required for site visits Working with a seasoned project delivery team delivering full technical support and oversight, and an Manager of Projects running an established staff with very low turnover, this is an ideal role for anyone seeking a hands-on, leadership-focused construction & commissioning role, to utilize your extensive construction experience to drive quality and innovation across the group.
