INTERIOR DESIGNER — Melbourne, Melbourne Region
New

Excellent opportunity to join a group that is moving onwards and upwards within the quality apartment sector of the market. Located on the southern fringe of the CBD, this well-established and internationally based practice has an opening for a skilled Interior Designer to join the team. Our client is most keen to hear from intermediate level Interior Designers with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of post graduate experience in the local market and solid exposure across a variety of residential, multi-residential and commercial design fit-outs. They have a new residential development currently underway in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne, so while this would be your initial experience, there is the opportunity to expand your involvement and work on other projects in future. You will need a proven background in design based responsibilities, as you’ll be working closely with and assisting the Head of Interiors to take conceptual presentations and turn them into more detailed design development packages. In terms of your abilities, while there will be an element of design required, solid experience in documentation and detailing is also required and as such, a broadly based, all-rounder would align perfectly to fulfil their needs. Must possess strong Revit documentation expertise across joinery and interior architectural elements, with SketchUp and Photoshop knowledge. Located close to a train station and trams and surrounded by high-end shops and a multitude of cafes and restaurants, our client is renowned for its friendly team culture and the studio setting itself offers fabulous break-out spaces to enhance creativity. Offered initially on a 6-month contract basis, there is a view that the role could extend and be offered on a permanent, salary basis for the right person with the right skills and personality. Terrific opening for a young, enthusiastic, reliable designer who has experience documenting, producing marketing plans, and working on design development packages. If you have a flair for colour and planning and the critical design and technical input skills required to provide on progressive residential developments, apply now! Please send through your strong portfolio and you could soon be working within this talented, close-knit team. Please note: We value diversity and encourage applications from all qualified individuals, including those from diverse gender identities, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIA community, veterans, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
