The Trades Assistant will initiate and manage performance enhancing programmes and reporting systems relating to the operational preparedness of the ambulance fleet, Manage the reporting process of the ambulance fleet and its equipment in data form for refurbished and services fleets where they will be used by operational members throughout the state. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) vehicles are fully stocked with necessary medical and associated equipment, inspected, and detailed for operational use. Order required medical equipment for SAAS vehicles using correct procedures. Decontaminate vehicles and equipment according to SAAS Standard Operating Procedures. Store and secure appropriately any equipment removed from decommissioned SAAS vehicles that require repairs. Carry out non-mechanical minor repairs on SAAS vehicles.
