We are a volunteer based, not-for-profit registered, charity that provides practical programs to assist survivors of domestic violence in collaboration with refuge and crisis centres. Friends with Dignity is 100% self-funded, and does not charge the Victims we assist or the Refuges / Supporting organisations who refer their clients to us. All of our Programs are gifted unconditionally. We recognise that domestic violence does not discriminate. It affects men, women and children irrespective of race, ethnicity or socio-economic standing. All of our programs are gifted unconditionally, on referral, to any individual or family seeking assistance. We do not charge the Victims we assist nor the supporting organisations and refuges who refer their clients to us. Warehouse/ Storage/ Logistics Coordination Collaborate with warehouse/storage volunteers and other managers across Australia to ensure FwD goals are met. Maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders including Storage Organisations. Manage warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes Develop and propose new strategies to streamline efficient processes Maintain workplace safety measures at all times and ensure compliance of these regulations with any person visiting or attending the premises Ensure that the warehouse/storage is maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times Manage access of all who require and have been authorised entry to the premises Engage community and volunteers in working bee opportunities and activities Manage the FwD van. Ensure that the logbooks are completed and updated Scan the completed logbook sheets into Logistics Team files for record keeping Schedule pick ups and deliveries as per requirement Liaise with the Inventory and Donations team Source more Contractors to cover more areas Engage competent drivers to operate the FwD vehicle – ensure these people comply with our Volunteer requirements and have all the necessary documents to perform the role safely and effectively Ensure safety and training is provided where applicable Health & Safety Ensure a high standard of safety, leading by example always. Meet duty of care and ensure actions don’t negatively impact health and/or safety of self and others in the workplace. Comply with all of the organisations health and safety policies, procedures & any reasonable instruction given by the company. Ensure that no wilful or reckless actions are taken that interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety. What We Require From you: • A strong interest in warehousing and logistics • Willingness to learn how to manage warehouse operations • Curious about how supply chains, inventory, and distribution work • Comfortable using computers and willing to learn new systems • Good communication skills – both speaking and writing • Friendly and respectful when working with different people • Great attention to detail • Organised and able to keep track of tasks and deadlines • A current Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain one) • A full, valid driver's licence What Makes You a Great Fit: You’re a natural leader who also works well in a team and treats everyone with respect.
